Grey powder coated aluminium is a great choice of colour for bifolding doors, and indeed is one of the most popular choices. Brown powder coated doors are great for barns, older properties and countryside properties.
Frameless Glass Curtains recently installed a set of four pane bifolding doors to a wonderful country property in Chesterfield. This particular property featured a lot of dark colours in its construction and outside spaces. For example there was an existing brown lean to conservatory, timber windows and dark tiles to the roof. Outside the patio area was a dark terracotta colour with dark varnish to the decking. Additionally, there were dark fascias to the home and the walls were clad with stone. In this type of property, whilst grey powder coated doors could be installed a shade of brown seemed the more logical choice.
RAL 8017 was the chosen RAL colour. This is actually a very popular shade of brown that is widely used in many types of properties. With 19 possible brown combinations to choose from it was important to select the right shade to blend in with the overall appearance of the property and of course it’s existing doors and windows.
We installed our contemporary glass doors powder coated in RAL 8017 matt and as you can see, whilst these are super slim, frameless and contemporary bifolding and sliding doors you will agree they work brilliantly in this older type of property in the country.
