Our doors now come independently tested and certified to meet the current British Standard BS4873 as well as the European Standard BS EN14351-1:2006.
BS4873 is the British Standard specifying the requirements for external doors in several key areas of their construction. These include the design, construction and overall performance. Above all the standard only applies to doors made in a factory.
Importantly, BS4873 applies to all the important factors that matter to you when investing in a quality door. For instance, components, construction and design, glazing, security, weather performance, energy efficiency and just some of over 20 different aspects of this British Standard.
The European Standard BS EN 14351 relates to the product standard and performance characteristics of external doors.
