In short, the product offered by Frameless Glass Curtains is nothing short of excellent. These frameless glass doors are a truly unique system that are really aesthetically pleasing and unlike any other product we could find on the market. The doors are very sleek and elegant and create real impact and wow factor. Our experience… with FGC, has been, from start to finish, incredibly professional. We have a small garden which is designed to feel like an additional room to our house, so having frameless doors with minimal interruption to the view was really important to us. Gary was exceptionally helpful when we first enquired about the doors and went to great lengths to answer questions, direct us to specific footage and images on the website to demonstrate installations of a similar size and scale, and very swiftly provided quotations for size variations when we were still in discussion with our architects. When we went to the workshop to view the doors in action we were really impressed with the product – both it’s overall look and the ease with which it could be operated. Gary answered our questions in detail with clear descriptions so we could completely understand how the mechanics would work and be able to pass this information on to our builder. FGC then arranged a site visit with our builder to ensure that the space for the doors was created correctly and to double check all measurements – on this occasion, and all other visits to site, staff were prompt and professional. On installation, the FGC worked on-site with consideration for the rest of the building team and took genuine pride in their work. Since installation, we have had our doors serviced and polished and again experienced a very efficient and friendly team who took great care to minimise their impact on our home. May I ask you for a review on how we performed? – all very good except that it took a month to get the correct size of glass doors after the wrong sized ones turned up on initial installation – good job it wasn’t winter or might have been having a different conversation. I appreciate… this was an error at the factory. In response to my initial query– Paul fitted a locking handle to the outside of the door on the second visit which helps. We just need to solve the air gaps when the door is not sealed. How were we from initial contact (were we polite)? – Paul and Ricky were very helpful, polite and knowledgeable – please pass on my thanks to them both. Arranging installation (were we on time and on schedule) – Both visits on time for 08:00 Were we clean and tidy? – yes And finally are you pleased with our doors (would you Recommend us)? – Yes – I’m very pleased so far – look great and of good quality, feel solid and safe. I’ll know better though after a few months of constant use from the family…….. In terms of the competition – you are slightly more expensive than a traditional tri fold door. We decided to use you as we were already converts to glass curtains. And we needed the flexibility in the way your doors split and open. I think the majority of people need convincing for some reason. I have an outstanding query ref the sealing of the doors when the handle has not been turned. Paul is developing an idea to help me – I’d really appreciate it if Paul can come back to me as soon as he can. The glass curtains are in constant use all day and my family are not good at going through the doors and then turning the handle to seal….. – Paul knows the details. In terms of making a difference – these glass curtains have replaced some single glazed glass curtains – and there is already a difference in the evening if the temp drops outside and we have them shut. I contacted FGC to try and marry up a few weather strips to replace old one’s which I have already fitted on glass curtains. The glass curtains were not supplied by FGC and the company who supplied them, when asked for replacement weather strips just said “we no longer have these in stock and not… sure if we can still get them”. FGC requested pictures of the seals and sent some samples free of charge for what they thought may help me. After trying them and finding out they were not wide enough, FGC said they will continue to investigate to try and find suitable replacements. I consider FGC customer service to be exceptional through continuous support via email, knowing they will not get a large profit from a few weather strips. If I were to replace my glass curtains I would be contacting FGC knowing the customer service was second to none. I give them a 5 star rating. Read more “Customer Service”
