This is the first project I have completed with FGC and it will not be the last. From the original survey and quote, right through to final installation, the team at FGC have been tremendous.
The communication and detail is outstanding, the quote was fair market competitive and the final result of the product in situ is absolutely outstanding. I have never seen a system like this before. The quality of the work is remarkable, the installation team were timely and so professional. If you are thinking of adding value and ultimate style to your property, this is the way to go.

Web site, initial contact and service
My wife saw a product similar to FGC Glass Curtains whilst on holiday. After undertaking a lot of searching on the internet we came across FGC. FGC offered a product we could not find anywhere else, i.e. a true frameless glass product, no side borders, only the top and bottom running rails. The product looked as if you were looking through a single piece of glass. The web site reflects the quality and aesthetic of the products.
My initial phone call to Raie was to get an idea of what could be done and to check a few technical details in this respect she was most helpful and enabled us to plan the job. In the quote we subsequently received ( which met our requirements) was an offer to visit the factory in Kent. We live in the NW but decided to visit when we went down there on a few days holiday. It is worthwhile going to see the product in real life, Gary met us and told us about the Glass Curtains and showed us how the various combinations of door openings, colours, handles etc could be configured – there was no pressure selling at all.
We had to wait until some joinery work had been completed but Raie got a technician to visit and survey, we sent final measurements and agreed a time and date for installation. When FGC said they would do something they did on time and were very courteous.
Now having the ‘curtains installed we are both very happy with the new look and increased light in our living room. The effect is modern and gives the impression of a much bigger room.
A lesson I have learnt is that its best to dispense with a wooden surround for your new doors. This only takes up unnecessary space as the track can be fixed into brickwork. I think this would also help in installation, allowing FGC technicians to make the fine adjustments, always best to ask Raie for advice.
Finally all of the guys who visited were courteous and pleasant leaving no mess behind.

As to how we were from initial contact (were we polite)? Yes a bit abrupt especially the on site visit.
Arranging installation (were we on time and on schedule) Excellent.
Were we clean and tidy? Good but the windows were left uncleaned so difficult to check for scratches. VG at organising a company to deal with the scratches + v good service from scratch man.
And finally are you pleased with our doors (would you Recommend us)? Wonderful so far. We haven’t used them as the build is still on going.

Putting a frameless glass walls between our South facing lounge and dining room conservatories was one of the best things we have ever done in our house. When shut, they keep out the cold in winter and, most importantly, the heat on very hot summer days. When open during sunny winter days, the heat warms the whole house and reduces our heating bills significantly.
FGC are a marvellous friendly company. Very efficient and a pleasure to work with. The alternative for us would be bi-fold doors. So glad we didn’t go down that route. Much nicer to have clear unobstructed views. Thank you FGC.

The installer was excellent. In spite of being let down by another member of the team he got on with with the job in a positive manner. Disruption was kept to a minimum and he cleared and tidied up. He demonstrated how to use the doors, ensured I knew how to operate them and answered any questions before he left. He is a credit to your company.
Overall: I am very pleased with my frameless glass curtains and will recommend them to anyone interested.

As to how we were from initial contact (were we polite)?
Staff were polite and prompt in answering telephone questions.
There were technical problems with our installation and staff were open and discussed options and were polite. The fitters were surprised at the distance they had to travel to reach us each time, although we had explained where we lived prior to proceeding with the installation to check whether the company would be happy to fit in our area. The fitters were tired and somewhat grumpy when they arrived each time, but then went on to do a good job.
Arranging installation (were we on time and on schedule)
There were delays prior to fitting, and then delays in arranging the corrections needed due to a technical error, but once dates were set they were kept.
Were we clean and tidy?
Yes inside the house. We had to clear metal shavings outside the house.
And finally are you pleased with our doors (would you Recommend us)?
We are pleased with the doors. They are stylish and provide flexibility in the home as we wished. We were hoping for better sound insulation, so if other enquirers need sound insulation within the home we would recommend they have double glazed internal frameless doors rather than the single glazing that we bought.
We would recommend the company and the product.
