FINANCE OPTIONS AVAILABLE
These frameless glass walls have made a huge difference to our comfort at home. They are installed between our living rooms and conservatory. When open, they allow heat into the living area on a sunny day (reducing our heating bill) and when shut, they keep the cold and noise out. They are also much better… than bi-folds because there are no frames when shut and when open, the amount of space taken is minimal. Just a note to let you know how delighted we are with the sliding folding glazed panels installed by your firm at the rear of our house. Friends come into our kitchen now and are just amazed at how the same space has been transformed and opened up, simply by the addition of your glazed… panels, providing a panoramic view looking out onto the garden. During warm summer days it was (and still is) such a joy to slide and park the panels to one side, bringing the garden into the kitchen dining area. We have a separate dining room in the house also, but haven’t in fact used it since the day your windows were installed! Nobody wants to leave the newly created bright space with a full view of the garden and changing seasons, now almost making the other living rooms redundant. Downside is that I now have to labour away and keep the garden trim, tidy and colourful every weekend! I must also take this opportunity to remark on the efficiency with which the panels were installed by two of your very pleasant and cheerful fitters, who arrived at exactly the appointed time on the agreed date as advised when we first ordered the panels. They worked diligently, ensuring the panels were up and running in the shortest possible time, all as per the agreed time schedule and budget, and left the place spotless on completion. I’m quite sure that the overall effect, backed up by our enthusiastic demonstations of how they work, will result in a few more additions to your order book! How did we advise you on first contact? I was constructing a new extension and FGC were very helpful and understanding of the nature of the project. Updates to the original design (like addition of an extra door) were accomodated easily and efficiently Installation – were the installers polite and did they clean and tidy… up afterwards? All polite and as clean as necessary, although given the site was a work in progress with other builders / materials around there was limited tidying required. Having said that, subsequent visits to rememdy teething issues have been also very efficient and tidy. Are you pleased with our frameless glass curtains? Yes and they are hugely popular with friends / guests when visiting. Would you recommend us to other people? Yes – and I have done so on several occasions already Do you have any advice for us? The frameless doors we had fitted are exactly what we had hoped for, they look amazing and bring the outside in and inside out !The service from the company was exceptional at all times.
We’ve FGC doors installed in our rear extension and they really are the highlight of the whole development. The support from the FGC guys has been friendly and really responsive – Brilliant service all round!
As to how we were from initial contact (were we polite)? Very polite and attentive, always got back quickly with answers to queries but there was no hard sell which I really appreciated after being bombarded by calls and contacts from other companies! The measuring up part seemed more complicated than it needed to… be. The initial drawings and some of the subsequent ones had errors on that I needed to phone and change (e.g. the wrong colour number, incorrect measurements – numbers in the wrong order etc), and it made me apprehensive that the correct measurements were fully understood by all. Phone calls into Gary and Paul were really helpful, but I didn’t find the visit from Steve very helpful or his subsequent amendments. The pencil drawings that come out with the final quote were not clear, and with such an expense I think I would have felt more reassured with a clear technical drawing. Arranging installation (were we on time and on schedule) Yes (bit delayed by traffic but called and updated us). Quick installation, good explanation of how they worked Were we clean and tidy? Yes very And finally are you pleased with our doors (would you Recommend us)? Regarding your service I would like to make the following comments Web site, initial contact and service My wife saw a product similar to FGC Glass Curtains whilst on holiday. After undertaking a lot of searching on the internet we came across FGC. FGC offered a product we could not find anywhere else, i.e. a… true frameless glass product, no side borders, only the top and bottom running rails. The product looked as if you were looking through a single piece of glass. The web site reflects the quality and aesthetic of the products. My initial phone call to Raie was to get an idea of what could be done and to check a few technical details in this respect she was most helpful and enabled us to plan the job. In the quote we subsequently received ( which met our requirements) was an offer to visit the factory in Kent. We live in the NW but decided to visit when we went down there on a few days holiday. It is worthwhile going to see the product in real life, Gary met us and told us about the Glass Curtains and showed us how the various combinations of door openings, colours, handles etc could be configured – there was no pressure selling at all. We had to wait until some joinery work had been completed but Raie got a technician to visit and survey, we sent final measurements and agreed a time and date for installation. When FGC said they would do something they did on time and were very courteous. Now having the ‘curtains installed we are both very happy with the new look and increased light in our living room. The effect is modern and gives the impression of a much bigger room. A lesson I have learnt is that its best to dispense with a wooden surround for your new doors. This only takes up unnecessary space as the track can be fixed into brickwork. I think this would also help in installation, allowing FGC technicians to make the fine adjustments, always best to ask Raie for advice. We are delighted with the end-resulting porch and it is achieving exactly what we wanted from it. We have also had several very positive comments from visitors, etc – which is very gratifying. We have also been impressed with the attitude and approach of all the company employees we have met.
This company have a product which to my mind is “second to none”. Their glass doors really let you feel you are outside as they have the tiniest of joins…I used to know the exact cm measurement! I was initially worried though about what would happen on follow up problems as their main office is… so far away. However for 3 years now we have found any teething problems or small issue has been dealt with exceedingly quickly and professionally. Also all their team are not just skilled but just nice polite people who you are happy to have in your home. Even during this difficult time they came to sort out a problem.
