Contemporary frameless porch in Woodford, London
Supplied with toughened 10mm toughened glass, a single feature thought out, we crafted two separate door sets closing of this traditional porch in this older property. The focal point is the original front door, now enclosed by modern glass and discreet fittings, while retaining the character of the property.
This particular project differed from our normal frameless glass porches installations, having shaped and arched brickwork where the glass had to sit neatly within it and at a height of over 2.6m high.
Creating special templates we measured for these structural details with the glass fitting neatly between each stop of the brickwork arch and weathertight with a neat silicone seal and metal trim.
The main door consists of a main door leaf with glass side panels. The door is a self-closing model provided with a floor mounted spring offering a soft-close solutions.
The door hardware is high quality stainless steel, comprising a lever/lever handle and lock, stainless steel patch fittings and a letter plate cut into the glass of the side panel. The doors open in and take into account the slope of the existing floor.
