Our commercial work for builders, developers and private clients include the installation of high traffic commercial aluminium doors. In environments where doors have heavy footfall and all manner of uses, commercial aluminium doors provide the most suitable and compliant solution for any property that is not a dwelling.
New aluminium doors for London gyms
Supplied and installed by FGC, our commercial doors for gyms and leisure come built to withstand the rigours of a busy premises such as fitness centres where the long opening hours and larger numbers of people place particular demands on door sets.
Our installation comprises a double set of doors with glazed side panels and toplight separating the weights room from the main gym area. The aluminium frames come in a durable black polyester powder coated finish.
Commercial door advantages in public buildings
Designed for easy flow of the public, these doors come with a double-action operation. In a busy environment and one where the user may not necessarily be familiar with door operation, double action doors open both ways with a push or pull action. Plain pad handles make identification easy as do the light-action door closers also providing a self-closing facility. Using concealed overhead closers also makes for a neater looking door as well as a hidden device less prone to damage.
Importantly, the easy adjustment available with concealed overhead closers means the doors offer several options for self-closing speed and final latching speed. Or, as fitted to these particular gym doors, they have a hold open facility. The benefit of a hold-open is more flexibility when you want the doors open without additional door stops obstructing the floor space or posing a potential trip hazard.
The low threshold is another great feature available as standard on commercial doors. Compliant to BS8300 and Approved Document M of the Building Regulations, low thresholds provide a reduced trip hazard. Furthermore, the mill finish construction ensures no damage from shoes treading on the threshold by large numbers of people. The ideal combination for commercial doors for gyms and other leisure facilities where high traffic also means more strain placed on all door components.
Commercial doors also provide far more locking and access options compared to residential doors. Single point locks using the latest hook or bar bolts secure both doors, the flush leaf has flush bolts for secure locking. Also available with commercial doors are panic bars for fire escapes, access control systems, swipe cards and buzz entry systems. For leisure, retail, offices and other high use buildings, there is no better and fit-for-purpose door.
Thought this installation of commercial doors and sidelights, is safety glass compliant with the latest regulations and to provide safety to users.
